Notification button
'Notification Button' is a notification popup which provides a very strong call-to-action message. It might be an announcement about sale, discount, new collection whatever you want the visitor to know about. Another way how to use 'Notification Button' is to collect email addresses using subscribe form. There are lots of benefits you can gain using this feature wisely. 'Notification Button' has two states pulsing closed state and open box with a message. Each of these states are shown in Fig. 19.1 and Fig. 19.2 accordingly.
In the 'Theme Settings' section devoted to this button, you are able to:
- show or not information button (Fig. 19.4 - [ 3 ])
- change heading (Fig. 19.4 - [ 4 ])
- define the link and its text (Fig. 19.4 - [ 6 ])
- disable/enable cookies usage. When this option is enabled, 'Notification Button' will not longer appear if user is visiting your store for numerous time and has opened this button before (Fig. 19.4 - [ 7 ])
- set a unique identifier. If previous option (cookies usage) is enabled and users don't see 'Notification Button' no more, however, you are willing to show them another message. This is when you need to set a unique indentifier so users start seeing this button again, but with another content this time (Fig. 19.5 - [ 8 ])
- disable/enable pulsing animation. You should bare in mind that animation plays significant role in microinteraction and grabbing user's attention, so switching off this option is required only in rare cases (Fig. 19.5 - [ 9 ])
- set timing for showing 'Notification Button' after page load (Fig. 19.5 - [ 10 ])
